PROJECTZYPPA.

Zyppa is a hyperlocal commerce platform built by Zyvron Technologies. It connects local vendors, their customers and a delivery fleet through one system rather than a set of separate apps.

It is our own product, which makes it the one build we can describe in full — architecture, modules and stack — without withholding anything that belongs to a client.

THE PROBLEM

What hyperlocal commerce actually demands

A local marketplace has to keep three groups in sync at once: vendors who need their stock to be accurate, customers who need to know what is genuinely available right now, and riders who need to be dispatched before an order goes cold. Each of them experiences the same order differently, and all three views have to agree.

The hard part is not any single app. It is that stock changes while a customer is in checkout, riders move continuously, and an order handed over to the wrong person cannot be undone. A system that treats these as separate products ends up reconciling them after the fact, which is where delays and disputes come from.

THE APPROACH

One platform, four surfaces

Zyppa is built as a single platform with four interfaces onto it rather than four applications sharing a database. Vendors, customers, riders and operators each see the state that matters to them, derived from one source of truth, so none of them is working from a stale copy.

Handover is verified with a one-time code rather than assumed, which makes the point where responsibility transfers — vendor to rider, rider to customer — an event the system records rather than a gap it has to reconcile later.

EXPERIENCE

What each group sees

For customers

Browse local vendors by category, see live availability rather than a catalogue that may be out of date, order for delivery or in-store pickup, and track the order through to handover.

For vendors

Publish a storefront and manage inventory without a developer, accept or reject incoming orders in real time, and see revenue and payout position without asking anyone for a report.

For riders

Receive assignments based on live position and route rather than a manual dispatcher, navigate to pickup and drop, confirm handover by code, and see earnings per trip.

For operators

A control hub covering vendor approvals, user accounts, rider performance, dispute handling and revenue reporting — the day-to-day administration a marketplace needs to stay trustworthy.

TECHNOLOGY

Built with

  • Next.js
  • Flutter
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Redis
  • Docker

A Next.js web platform and Flutter applications over a Node.js backend, with PostgreSQL as the system of record, Redis for the state that changes faster than a database should be asked to handle, and Docker for consistent deployment.
